Easter weekend

This weekend was one I have been waiting for a long time. I always love Conference weekend and what made it extra special this tim around was the fact that it was also Easter Sunday. It couldn't have been more perfect! I was able to study on Friday for quite some time. I then packed up and cleaned the house while Shaun was at School and then took an exam. By the time he got home I had the house and our luggage al ready to go. Shaun came home and we headed straight out the door. We were going to St. George for Conference weekend to be with Family. The drive was not too bad and we made good timing.

Shaun is so cute with his nieces. The first thing he did when we got there was made sure that he went into their rooms to give them a hug goodnight. This little Kate (Above) just absolutely adores him. She is always saying "Shaun" and has also prayed for him at night.

I wish you could have seen this in action. Little Kate gets so into her little conversations. See how she is using her hands? She is the cutest little girl.
Also we found out that Brianna our sister in law is pregnant with their 3rd and is due in November.

Grandpa Gordon came over on Saturday afternoon to join us for the Saturday Afternoon session of General Conference. He brought his Model A 1933 car down and so in between sessions we were able to go for a ride. We just went to the Gas station and back but it is always fun to ride in it. Not to mention Grandpa Gordon taught Shaun how to drive it.

I received a text from my text from my mom with a picture of Garrett at the Mailbox. He flew down to Arizona the day before and his Mission Call had just came in the mail. He was so excited to open it! Everyone was going to go to open it at 9:00pm after Priesthood session. I guessed he would go to Guatemala and Shaun guessed that he was going to Puebla, Mexico. I was able to facetime him and put him up on the big screen. I am so proud of Garrett and the preparation that he has made thus far. Well the suspense is killing me just writing about it :) ......
         Elder Garrett Gray,
You are herby called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you are assigned to labor in the Boston Massachusetts Mission, Spanish Speaking. You will report to the Provo MTC June 17th, 2015! I screamed SO loud when he said that he was going to preach the gospel in the Spanish Language. I know how badly Garrett wanted to use his Spanish (Which he is already pretty much Fluent in). Also I am a little biased but State Side Spanish Speaking IS THE BEST! He is right next to my mission. My guess is that he is going to be teaching a lot of Puerto Ricans and Dominicans :) I am so proud of Garrett and his testimony of the restored gospel and his desire to follow our Savior Jesus Christ and teach his people.

Here is little Kate just being as adorable as ever. Whenever we tell her to smile she says "Cheese" and puts her fingers to her cheeks.

After Sunday Morning session of Conference these cuties went on an Easter Egg hunt! I am pretty sure it doesn't get any cuter than that!

Kate was so excited to find the Easter Eggs.

What a wonderful relaxing Easter Weekend it was. It is always so nice to be around Family and enjoying the sweet time we have together. Sometimes we take our families for granted but I hope that we can all appreciate the small and simple things in life.

I am overly thankful for the opportunity we had to listen to our Beloved Prophet President Thomas S. Monson. He is truly inspired by our Loving Heavenly Father. I know that he is called of God and that he is God's voice here on this earth. I loved each of the talks and am grateful for the Holy Ghost who was able to testify to me that what they were saying was true. I loved being able to listen to Priesthood Session as well. The leaders are so inspired. I  loved how much they talked about the importance of Families. Also Elder Hollands talk about the miracle of the Resurrection and how through the atonement we can be saved and made clean. I love this gospel and am grateful to be apart of this Church. I love this gospel and am excited to read through the Conference Ensign.
